This post will tell you all you need to know about a white Christmas!
Some history, all of middle Tennessee has around a 20% of seeing a white Christmas. The last time we had a white Christmas was in 2010 when 1.1" fell at Nashville. The warmest Christmas was in 1982 when a high of 72 was observed! The coldest was the next year when the high was only 15!
OK back to now, as of right now there is a chance for some snow on Christmas Eve everywhere across the mid state. What do i think? I personally think some areas will see some snow and others won't. We will have to wait and see as the models become somewhat clearer about it. If we do see snow it will be short lived because the high will be above freezing and the sun is gonna be shining bright on Christmas!
To sum it up there is the chance of snow on Christmas Eve, the lows will be between 28-33 as of right now. The snow would start in the evening and last through ~12am. Remember there is only a 40% of snow, this could go up or down we will just have to wait and see what happens.
After Christmas look for temps to drop and become more wintry. This could be the set up for some accumulating snow! We really don't know right now so stay tuned.
Have a great rest of today!
