Ice Or Snow?

This post will only be for today, and tonight!


Today-COLD High at Nashville 29, Clarksville 28, and Crossville 28

Highs will be in the upper 20's and lower 30's for all of the mid state. No precipitation today, it is tonight!

Tonight-Here Comes The Snow! Low at Nashville 15, Clarksville 14, and Crossville 14.

Lows will be in the teens for all of the mid state tonight.

Lets talk some heavy snow! There is a WINTER STORM WARNING for ALL of the mid state! It goes into effect tonight and lasts through Monday night!

How much? Well if we get a mix over the southern areas down there they could see 3" to 4" For other areas i expect 4" to 8". This is going to be a big storm!

It wont melt on Monday, we will have more snow on Monday!
When will it melt? It wont melt until Friday!

The models are starting to agree on this storm even more! NAM was the first to say we could get 8" across the northern parts!

Snow!

It's 45 in Nashville, 42 in Clarksville, and 43 in Crossville at 11:10AM CST

This will be post all about our GOOD snow chances this week!

Today-Getting COLD! High at Nashville 44, Clarksville 43, Crossville 41.

Highs across the mid state will be in the low 40's to the upper 40's in the South. a cold front will arrive this afternoon and temps will nose dive!

There is also a chance of some no worry flurries too. Maybe a dusting at best across the high elevations.

Tonight-COLD Low at Nashville 9, Clarksville 8, and Crossville 6.

The lows tonight will be in the single digits for all of the area. The wind chills will be between 0 to -10! Yes in the negatives! There is a wind chill advisory for all of the mid state tonight, 3am to 9am Sunday morning! 

Sunday-Very Cold High at Nashville 26, Clarksville 25, and Crossville 25.

Highs will be in the 20's for all of the mid state on Sunday.

The snow! It could start as early as 6PM in the NW, and spreading east through out the night.

Sunday Night-Snow! Low at Nashville 15, Clarksville 14, and Crossville  14.

Lows will be in the teens for all of the mid state Sunday Night.

Where- All of the mid state!
Time- From 6PM Sunday to Sometime Tuesday Night. There will be breaks between snow!
How Much- 3-6" is a good guess for all of the  mid state for now! (This WILL change) the models are in somewhat agreement!

There is a winter storm watch from Sunday Night to Monday Night for all of the mid state, i think most areas will see a winter storm warning be issued on Sunday!

It's 33 in Nashville, 34 in Clarksville, and 34 in Crossville at 8:40 PM CST.

This is one of those blog updates where I only talk about the weather for tonight through Thursday, because we have a chance of snow. So that means no 3 or 4 day forecast just a two day forecast.

Tonight-Not As Cold. Low at Nashville 30, Clarksville 29, and Crossville 29.

It will be a cold night for all of the mid state, but not as cold! Lows will range from the upper 20's to the low 30's! So wrap up if you plan to head out tonight. No snow sorry, BUT there is a chance of it on Wednesday!

Wednesday-It's A Trick! High at Nashville 52, Clarksville 51, and Crossville 50.

It will be a mild day for February, but don't let that get you! With mild temps. in February in the mid state usually means a SHARP COLD FRONT, and yes that will be the case! No precip. during the day! Enjoy it! Highs across the mid state will range from the upper 40's to mid 50's!

Wednesday Night-The Plummet Of Temps. And Some Snow? Low at Nashville 27, Clarksville 26, and Crossville 26.

After the front passes, the temps. will nose dive into the low 30's and upper 20's for all of the mid state!

OK Lets talk snow now!

When-Should move into Northern middle Tn. around 11:30PM, then to I-40 around 12AM, then into the southern parts from 12-AM. The last of the snow should be out of the mid state before 7 am, a few left over flurries possible.

Where-All of the Mid state should see snow!

Impacts-This will happen around rush hour for most, so problems are VERY possible on Thursday morning! It will not melt for most until the afternoon hours when temps struggle to reach 32!

How Much-For areas North of  I-40 anywhere from 0"-1", South of  I-40 0"-3/4". ( These Will change!!)

Thursday-Snow In The Morning! High at Nashville 32, Clarksville 31, and Crossville 30

Any snow that falls could create a mess in travel all day! This system will need to be watched closely! Highs will be in the lower 30's for all the mid state, and a North wind 10-20 MPH with gusts up to 25 MPH! That will make wind chills in the teen's!!

Groundhog Day evening weather update

Super Bowl Sunday.

It's 50 in Nashville, 49 in Clarksville, and 47 in Crossville at 4:20 PM CST.

Tonight-Rain Changing To Snow. Low at Nashville 29, Clarksville 28, and Crossville 27.

It will be a cold night for all of the mid state with lows in the mid to upper 20's and lower 30's across the southern part of the area. The rain will be winding down after 12 am over the entire mid state, then we could see a period of snow work it's way in after 12 am when temps should be between 29-34. 

Accumulation- A dusting to 1/2" West of I-65, and a dusting to ~1" East of I-65. The extreme SW coroner may not see snow. Here is a snow fall map from the NWS.

Even if it does or does not snow the roads will likely freeze over with BLACK ICE!! not a good thing either, with highs on Monday not even getting above 32!

Monday-Snow In The Morning. High at Nashville 32, Clarksville 31, and Crossville 31.

Highs will be in the upper 20's to the low 30's on Monday over the whole area. Any snow that falls or any ice that forms will have a hard time melting, maybe in the late afternoon we could hit 33 in our southern areas.

Monday Night-Cold. Low at Nashville 21, Clarksville 20, and Crossville 19.

No precipitation is in the forecast, just cold. Lows over the whole area will be in the low 20's to the upper teens!!!! 

Tuesday-The Sun Returns!!! High at Nashville 44, Clarksville 44, and Crossville 44.

Sun is what we will see on Tuesday!! Highs will be in the low to mid 40's across all of the mid state on Tuesday.

Tuesday Night-Not As Cold. Low at Nashville 30, Clarksville 30, and Crossville 29.

No snow or rain! Lows will be in the upper 20's to the low 30's over the whole area.

There is a chance of snow Thursday, I don't want to touch on that now, the weather models are not in perfect shape YET!
